Important Policies, Refunds & Fees

Please read our policies carefully. They help us ensure efficient operations and the best possible experience for everyone at Skydive Houston.


Reservations & Rescheduling

We highly recommend making reservations in advance to guarantee your preferred jump date and time, especially for busy weekends when we’re often fully booked.

  • Standard Reschedule Policy: As a courtesy, you can change your reservation at no extra charge if you notify us at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled jump time. For example, if you’re scheduled for 10 AM on Friday, you must notify us by 10 AM on Wednesday.
  • Weather Dependent: Skydiving is a weather-dependent sport. We have no control over the weather, and all weather-related decisions are made by Skydive Houston pilots and instructors. If we need to reschedule due to inclement weather (clouds, high winds), we’ll notify you via text, email, or phone call, usually two hours before your scheduled jump.
  • Booking for a Group? If you’re booking for a party, it’s your responsibility to ensure all participants understand and comply with our policies and restrictions.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Due to the nature of our business, our refund and cancellation policies are strict. We allocate fuel, staffing, and aircraft space based on your reservation. Please understand these terms thoroughly.

  • Standard Jump Tickets (Non-VIP) & Third-Party Vouchers: These are non-refundable.
    • They are transferable in cases of inclement weather or if you provide 48 hours notice. Transferable means you can reschedule your jump for another date (valid for one year from the original booking date) or transfer your ticket to someone else.
  • VIP Tandem Jump (Only Refundable Option): The VIP Tandem jump is our only option that offers a full refund, valid for up to 180 days from the purchase date, provided you give 12 hours notice. A $30 office fee will be deducted from the refund. VIP jumps cannot be combined with any discounted jump offers.
    • No Refunds After 180 Days: Please note that refunds for VIP jumps will not be issued after 180 days from the original purchase date.

Gift Certificates & Vouchers

  • Skydive Houston Gift Certificates & Direct Bookings: All reservations and Gift Certificates purchased directly from Skydive Houston are non-refundable but are good for one year and are fully transferable.
  • Expired Skydive Houston vouchers and gift certificate : These can be redeemed for up to one year past their expiration date for an additional $100 per person fee.
  • Third-Party Vouchers:
    • Subject to change due to weather, availability, and flight load minimums (2 students per plane).
    • Only valid on weekdays (Monday-Friday). An additional fee applies for weekend or holiday use.
    • Valid only for the stated Promotional Value Term and must be used before the promotional expiration date. This includes reschedules due to weather or maintenance.
    • Expired third-party vouchers can be redeemed for an additional $100 per person fee. To avoid limited promotional expiration dates, we recommend booking directly with us.
  • Important: Please do not purchase a discounted jump ticket if you or your party are unsure about your availability on any other day or time.

Fees & Charges (Non-Negotiable)

All times are CENTRAL TIME. Please arrive at your scheduled time, not early or late. Our office staff do not have the authority to waive any fees.

  • No-Show / Late Cancellation: Failure to show for a scheduled appointment, or rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice, will result in the loss of your deposit/full payment/voucher.
  • Late Reschedule Fee: Reschedules made with less than 48 hours notice will incur a $50 reschedule fee per person upon arrival.
  • Late Check-In Fee: If you arrive late and check in after your scheduled time, a $50 fee per person will be charged upon arrival. This fee is non-negotiable as it impacts our schedule.
  • Waiver Fee: If you arrive for your check-in time without having filled out your waiver, a $50 fee will be charged. This delay impacts our entire schedule. This fee is non-negotiable.
  • Heavy Student Fee: A $35 heavy fee will be charged for any jumper weighing over 200 lbs but under the maximum weight limit. This non-negotiable fee goes directly to the instructor due to the additional effort required for a safe landing with heavier students. Your weight is determined by our commercial-grade scale, and the result is final.
  • Refusal to Jump (After Aircraft Departure): If a student has departed in the airplane and chooses not to complete the skydive, all monies paid for their skydive will be forfeited. This is a rare occurrence, but no refunds will be issued in such cases.
  • Denial of Service (Unsafe Risk): Skydive Houston reserves the right to refuse service to any customer deemed by our instructors, pilots, or office staff to be an unsafe risk to themselves and/or others for any reason. This includes (but is not limited to): being under 18, exceeding weight limits, inappropriate attire, being under the influence of substances (alcohol/drugs), exhibiting disrespectful behavior, or any action disrupting operations or creating an unsafe situation.
    • No refunds are issued to jumpers denied service for safety reasons after prepayment or gearing up. Instead, the jumper may reschedule for a $50 cancellation fee or transfer their reservation to another jumper for a $50 transfer fee.

Video and Photo Packages

  • Refunds: Video and photo packages may be refunded for any reason up until you are geared up or thirty minutes prior to your scheduled flight, whichever comes first.
  • Full Refund (Rare): A full refund for a media package is issued only if the entire package is not up to our standards (e.g., completely unretrievable). This is our apology for not being able to provide any part of the package.
  • No Refunds for Dislike: No refunds are given if the customer simply dislikes the footage or feels it’s not flattering. Cameras capture your experience as it unfolds in an intense environment; not all footage is “Instagram-worthy.”
  • No Raw Footage: Under no circumstances do we release or sell raw video footage.
  • Focus on Safety: Momentary loss of focus on the student by the instructor for mandatory handle-checks in freefall does not constitute lost footage. Your instructor’s primary concern is always safety. If conditions require both hands for safety, they will prioritize the jump over capturing media.
  • Data Integrity: While we record video and photos for all jumpers, and for our records, no storage solution is foolproof. We cannot guarantee footage retrieval at a later date. We highly recommend ordering media at the time of your jump and saving it securely once delivered. No compensation or discount is made for media lost due to hardware failure beyond our control.
  • No Sharing: You cannot share your video package. Each jumper requires a separate instructor to film them, as you jump individually, typically 10-15 seconds apart. Having your own personal camera instructor ensures you get your unique, incredible experience to treasure forever.

All prices are subject to change without notice. Skydive Houston does not charge hidden fees or extra surcharges. The UPT Video provided with your waiver shows their refund policy, not ours. All sales are final.
